New things are happening at the RCVO@ Volunteer Alberta Library.  We launched our new website not long ago and continue to develop and add on new items to meet your information needs.  If you have an item you would like to recommend to our library collection that would be relevant to the non-profit/voluntary sector, please let us know.  Many information seekers are finding our new website design easy to navigate to obtain quick information and research information.  We are currently increasing the digital content of our collection to include a variety of formats to suit your information needs.  For those of you who are loyal to printed books, we will be adding more new items to our collection in a short while.  Keep checking this page for updates.

This page will feature a book or more to let you know what your fellow non-profit/voluntary community member is reading from the RCVO@ Volunteer Alberta Library. We hope that these book recommendations and reviews would help you select a resource of interest. Here is one book review:

GettingToMaybe  Title:  Getting to Maybe; How the World is Changed

Authors: Frances Westley, Brenda Zimmerman, Michaeil Quinn Patton

"Getting to Maybe is a great read for those interested in Social Innovation.  It explores a new way of approaching and making change in communities, businesses and the world.

By exploring the complexity theory and using a multitude of real life examples from people and organizations, the book provides not answers but rather inspiration for change.

It is the type of book you will read, then keeping thinking back to in your mind as you explore the curves and challenges in daily life.

If you believe Social Change is everyone's responsibility, especially our own, read this book!"
