Alberta Arbitration & Mediation Society

http://www.aams.ab.ca

The Alberta Arbitration & Mediation Society's (AAMS) mission statement asserts that they "promote appropriate conflict management and provide excellence in educational and dispute resolution services for the public." The Society seeks to promote public awareness of alternative dispute resolution processes. The main function of the AAMS is to provide education and training in arbitration, mediation, negotiation and conflict management skills.

The Society recognizes the need for parties involved to have access to a list of knowledgeable persons who are willing to serve as arbitrators and mediators. To this end the site includes a directory of arbitrators and mediators which can be searched according to area of interest and location. This portion of the site can be accessed directly at www.aams.ab.ca/database/search.asp.
