Access to Justice Network

A site for law and order online, the purpose of the Access to Justice Network is to be "an electronic community that brings together people, information, and educational resources on justice and legal issues of interest to Canadians." It boasts that it is the only nationwide service that provides law and justice resources to all Canadians in both official languages. The search tool at the top of the page allows you to quickly find all results for non-profit law.

ARNOVA is an international membership organization dedicated to fostering through research an understanding of the nonprofit sector, philanthropy and volunteerism. Canadian Business for Social Responsibility

CBSR offers services and tools to aid Canadian businesses to improve their support of corporate social responsibility. Their motto is, "better business, better world." It is a national organization of Canadian companies "who have made a commitment to operate in a socially, environmentally and financially responsible manner." An item of particular interest on this site is a corporate accountability tool called the the GoodCompany Guidelines for Corporate Social Performance. "These guidelines enable companies to assess, improve and report on their social, environmental and financial performance."

This site boasts information on 40,000 nonprofit and community organizations in 165 countries. A search engine on the home page allows you to search and browse through these organizations. The site also provides information on thousands of volunteer opportunities throughout the world. Much like any online labour exchange, individuals can create and post a profile of themselves, and receive information about volunteer opportunities that might be of interest to them. Conversely, non-profit organizations can use the site to post volunteer job opportunities and information about their organization. Organizations can also browse for potential volunteers.

It connects non-profits across Canada with job seekers as well as suppliers of services and products and is truly affordable for even the most financially-challenged non-profit organization.

At this stage, all job postings, including bilingual postings, are completely free of charge and there is never a charge for job seekers.
